The AeroPress is a versatile brewing methods that dances between tradition and modernity. An AeroPress is portable and lightweight which makes it great for travelers or people on the go. The numbers on the chamber help guide you if you do not have a scale. One serving brews a single espresso-like shot or an Americano if you add water afterwards.
Ingredients
Fresh Story Seed Coffee
AeroPress brewer
AeroPress filter
Grinde
Hot water
Spoon or AeroPress paddle
Mug
Preparation
Coffee to Water Ratio: 1:16 (1 part coffee to 16 parts water)
For a single serving (240ml): Use approximately 16 grams of coffee with 240ml of water.
Measure and grind finely 2 scoops of coffee. You can use the AeroPress coffee scoop that is included in the AeroPress kit. Make sure to grind fine.
Place a filter in the AeroPress cap. Rinse the filter with hot water to help remove any paper taste. Fasten the cap onto the AeroPress chamber.
Place the bottom chamber of the AeroPress on top of a sturdy mug, add the 2 scoops of coffee into the chamber.
Begin pouring hot water over the coffee ground and mix the coffee grounds using a spoon or AeroPress paddle.
Insert the plunger carefully into the chamber. Gently press down on the plunger. The coffee will brew into the mug.
This recipe brews a double espresso. If you prefer an Americano-style coffee top off with hot water.
