About the Recipe

The espresso is a brewing method that stands as a testament to the art and science of coffee. Finely ground coffee undergoes a high pressure extraction process, delivering a small yet powerful shot. The result is a velvety, robust, and strong form of coffee. You can drink it as it is or add water to dilute it into an Americano.

Ingredients

  • Freshly Story Seed Coffee

  • Espresso Machine

  • Burr Grinder

  • Scale

  • Water

  • Espresso glass

Preparation

Coffee to Water Ratio: 1:2 (1part coffee to 2 parts water)

For a single serving (30ml): Use approximately 15 grams of coffee with 30ml of water.


  1. Preheat your espresso machine & clean the portafilter.

  2. Grind your coffee beans to a fine consistency.

  3. Fill the portafilter with the fine coffee grounds.

  4. Tamp the grounds.

  5. Start the extraction, aiming for 25-30 seconds.

  6. Serve immediately and enjoy!
